• May 3rd & 4th – Rhode Island Free Fishing Day
  📍 Statewide, RI
  ➔ Free fishing; occasional fly fishing clinics hosted by RI DEM.

• May 10th – Connecticut Free Fishing Day
  📍 Statewide, CT
  ➔ Free fishing, with CT DEEP offering fly fishing education.

  Additionally, on June 15th and August 9th, free one-day licenses will be available to anglers. Anglers must obtain a free one-day license from the Online Sportsmen Licensing System. 

• May 31st - June 1st – Maine Free Fishing Days
  📍 Statewide, ME
  ➔ Free fishing; Maine Inland Fisheries often offers intro fly fishing clinics. 

• June 7th – NH Fish and Game Free Fishing Day
  📍 Satewide, NH
  ➔ No license needed, free fly fishing clinics offered.

• June 10th – Vermont Free Fishing Day
  📍 Statewide, VT
  ➔ Free fishing day; sometimes includes fly casting classes.

• June 14th-15th – Father’s Day Weekend Fly Fishing Tournaments
  📍 Local rivers, VT/NH/ME
  ➔ Casual fly fishing contests by TU chapters and local fly shops.

📌 Notes:

• Events with (TBD) will have confirmed dates typically announced the month prior.

• June–August = fewer expos, more clinics, workshops, and conservation projects.

• September–November = focused on streamer fishing and habitat restoration events.
